Buy, sell and swap
Understand quotes, slippage, fees and confirmation before placing a trade.
Launchpad prices a trade for the selected assets, amount and market state. Review the quote before the wallet request, then follow the submitted action until its outcome is known.
Choose the action
Buy: pay CC to receive a supported coin. Sell: return a coin to receive CC. Swap: use an available route between supported assets. A token-to-token route can involve more than one CC leg, each with its own pricing and fee.
During curve trading, the quote uses the launch curve. After confirmed graduation, it uses the activated market. Trading is unavailable during the handover itself.
Read the quote
| Detail | What to check |
|---|---|
| Assets | Both complete asset identities, not just tickers |
| Input | The amount you authorize the action to spend |
| Expected output | The output calculated for the quoted state |
| Minimum received | The lower bound accepted by your authorization |
| Price impact | How the trade size affects the quoted market price |
| Slippage | Your permitted change between quote and execution |
| Fees | The displayed product and applicable network costs |
| Expiry | The deadline for using this quote |
Price impact and slippage describe different things. Price impact comes from the trade's size relative to liquidity. Slippage tolerance bounds how much the accepted execution can differ from the quote. Increasing slippage does not remove fees or improve liquidity.
Authorize and follow the result
A quote is not a receipt. A wallet signature is not, on its own, confirmation that the trade settled. Check the final result, balance changes and any published transaction reference.
When a trade cannot proceed
Refresh an expired or stale quote. If the coin is graduating, wait for the new venue to become available. Near the curve's final fill, use a fresh quote for the accepted remaining amount; the market may reject an amount that exceeds capacity or leaves an unexecutable remainder.
If a submission times out, check its existing status before retrying. See troubleshooting.
