Send assets

Send a supported Canton asset with a complete recipient Party ID and a clear transaction review.

Before you start

Get the recipient's complete Canton Party ID and confirm that their wallet supports the asset. Check your available balance and leave enough CC for the fee shown in the transfer review.

Make a transfer

  1. Open Send from Wallet.
  2. Select the asset when more than one sendable asset is available.
  3. Paste the recipient's complete Party ID.
  4. Enter the amount in the selected token. If a currency estimate is shown, check the token amount too.
  5. Add a memo if you need one.
  6. Review the asset, amount, sender, recipient, memo and fee estimate.
  7. Confirm and complete the signing request.

The fee estimate is in CC and is calculated for the selected asset and recipient. Refresh the review if those details change. If the app cannot estimate a fee, read the message shown before deciding whether to continue.

Review the full recipient

Use the copy controls in the review to inspect the complete sender and recipient Party IDs. Do not verify only the first and last few characters.

The app cannot reverse a completed transfer because you chose the wrong valid recipient. Stop before confirming if the recipient or asset is uncertain.

Memos

A memo can help the recipient identify a payment. Enter only information needed for that purpose. Do not put passwords, access tokens, private keys or other secrets in a transaction memo.

After confirmation

Wait for the result shown by Wallet, then open Activity for the transaction details. Some outgoing transfers remain pending until the recipient responds or another transfer condition is met.

If the screen times out after you confirm, check Activity and Pending before submitting again. A timeout alone does not prove that the transfer failed.

If sending is unavailable

An asset in your balance may not currently be sendable. Use the options provided by the Send flow. For an unsupported instrument, invalid recipient or insufficient available balance, follow the specific message and see troubleshooting.
