Receive assets
Copy your Canton Party ID, verify the network and check incoming transfers.
Find your receiving address
- Open Wallet and select Receive.
- Check that the network is Canton.
- Use Copy to copy the complete Party ID, or show the QR code to the sender.
- Confirm the asset and network with the sender before they submit the transfer.
The QR code on the Canton Receive screen represents your Party ID. A shortened address elsewhere in the app is only a display convenience; use the copy control to obtain the full value.
Check the asset and network
A Canton Party ID is not an Ethereum address or a bank account number. The sender must use a Canton transfer flow that supports the asset you are receiving.
For a token, confirm its identity as well as its ticker. Different instruments can use similar names. Check the supported asset in Wallet and, where available, its instrument ID and administrator.
Send a small test amount when using a new destination. Confirm receipt before sending the rest.
After the sender submits
Check Assets for the updated balance and Activity for the transfer record. If the transfer requires a response, open Pending and review it there.
Some incoming transfers need your acceptance before their amount becomes available. Review the sender, token, amount and deadline before accepting. See pending transfers.
One-step transfers
Settings → One-Step Transfers shows the incoming-transfer preapprovals available for your account. An active preapproval can allow an eligible transfer of that asset to arrive without a separate acceptance step.
Preapprovals are asset-specific. Their presence does not make an unsupported token or network compatible with your Wallet. Review the request and any cost before enabling an available option.
A transfer has not arrived
Ask the sender for the transaction reference, asset, network and complete recipient Party ID they used. Compare them with your Receive screen, then check both Activity and Pending.
A receipt from the sender is useful evidence, but the Wallet balance and transfer record determine whether the amount is available in your account. Troubleshoot a transfer.
